Sonalert Crosswalk Audible Signal Devices are audible pedestrian signals designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. Model VSB-110-1 produces a cuckoo sound at 800 and 1200 Hertz (Hz), which repeats every 1.5 seconds. It is intended for use on north-south crosswalks. Model VSB-110-2 produces a chirp at 2000 Hz, which repeats every one second, and is intended for use on east-west crosswalks. POWER: Uses 110/120 volts alternating current (AC).
