The Sign Language Translator, model SLT100 is a sign language dictionary and sign language training device for use by individuals with hearing disabilities and others desiring to learn American Sign Language. This handheld device features a touchscreen with an on-screen keyboard. The user types a word, and the device will display a video of an person making the corresponding sign. The Sign Language Translator offers over 3,500 signs including numbers, letters and pronouns. It includes a protective case and a stylus. It has a support that extends from the back to allow the device to sit upright on a flat surface. It also has an SD/MMC card slot that can be used to add vocabulary as it becomes available from the manufacturer. OPTIONS: A power cord and additional styluses are available. POWER: Rechargeable battery with a USB power port; USB cable included. One charge provides up to six hours of continuous use. DIMENSIONS (LxWxD): 5.6 x 3.1 x .75 inches. The display (HxW) is 2 by 3 inches (320 x 240 pixels). WEIGHT: 5.9 ounces.
