Vibra-Call is a telephone and doorbell signal system designed to alert deaf or deaf-blind persons to a variety of audio household stimuli. The user wears a small receiver unit that vibrates in response to a signal from any of several transmitters around the house or workplace. The user then presses each of the four push-button switches on the top panel of the receiver; this causes the receiver to revibrate to indicate which transmitter was activated. The system can be used with one receiver and as many transmitters as desired. OPTIONS: Components may also be purchased separately, including a smoke detector, a doorbell transmitter, a telephone transmitter, a rechargeable sound monitor, a pager transmitter for signalling between persons, and a pillow vibrator. A Sleep Alert charger unit (see separate entry) is also available. POWER: Uses one rechargeable 9 volt battery (included). DIMENSIONS: 5 x 1.5 x 2.5 inches. WEIGHT: 7 ounces. WARRANTY: Five years.
