STEPP: Tahoe Truckee Unified School District

Information provided by: Placer County Adult System of Care

THE STEPP PROGRAM was established in 1998. STEPP is a district program for pregnant and parenting teens. STEPP offers a quality child development program with an Infant/Toddler center on site at Sierra High School. Students enrolled in the STEPP Program participate in parenting and life-skill classes after their academic day. We offer an infant and toddler childcare center on-site at Sierra High School for district students and their children. We have free childcare for these students while they are attending school and pursuing the goal of graduation. In the afternoon of the program the students are required to attend parenting and life skill classes to help assist them in becoming good parents and being able to take care of themselves and their children.
