Midwest Dental offering free dental care for veterans

Valley Life - 10/31/2017

Midwest Dental at 100 S. Latham St., No. 202, Sandwich, will hold a clinic for veterans and those in active duty to receive free dental care from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 10. The clinic aims to provide an opportunity for those who have served and are currently serving to have access to dental care.

During the event, Midwest Dental will provide exams, cleanings, X-rays, fillings and extractions at no cost.

"A surprising amount of veterans do not receive dental benefits," said Dr. John Schmidt of Midwest Dental. "We feel that providing dental care to veterans is the right thing to do. We appreciate what they've done for our country and we want to thank them by serving them in return."

Midwest Dental asks that those who wish to schedule an appointment call by Nov. 6, as a limited number of appointments will be available. To receive treatment, veterans need to bring their ID and proof of military service.
