CSL (Computerized Speech Lab) is a computer-based speech teaching system for recording, analyzing, and playing back speech patterns for individuals with speech disabilities. Applications include speech and voice pathology, acoustc phonetics and speech science, or english as a second language. The system features customizable pull-down menus, two input channels, digital input and output filters, and a 40 MHz digital signal processor. Spectrograms, formant trace, pitch extractions, power spectrum analysis, selective filtering, LPC analysis, and additional analysis functions may be performed. CSL can interface to and exchange files with other programs; contact manufacturer for details. Other features include file management, graphics and numerical display, audio output, and signal editing. COMPATIBILITY: For use on an IBM PC AT computer. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 386DX CPU (25 MHz), (486DX or higher recommended); 80387 coprocessor; ISA bus (EISA and VESA local bus also accepted); 4 MB RAM; VGA graphics; 14 inch VGA monitor; 40 MB hard drive (larger drive recommended); Microsoft compatible mouse (V 3.0) or higher; 1 free 16-bit expansion slot for CSL; available serial port; MS-DOS 5.0 or higher. 486 50 MHz PCs not recommended.
