APP2Speak™ is an augmentative and alternative communication software application for the iPad to help children with autism by reducing frustration in assisting adults who cannot rely on speech as a means for functional communication. This functional application assists in communicating needs and wants. APP2Speak™ includes 80 preset real photos to assist in the process of communication. Each page displays 20 pictures with words. Each selection provides speech output for word and phrase describing a want or need. The page size can be easily adjusted for visual difficulties, including 4 x 5 or 2 x 10 (columns x rows).  User can personalize using their own photos and or take a picture within APP2Speak™, add words, phrases and select text to speech - record their own voice. User can share their custom pages with other APP2Speak™ users through an enabled Bluetooth or WIFI connection. Other features include:

  • Direct Access and single switch access through iOS.
  • Pages can be swiped up, down or left and right to switch between pages.
  • Male and female voice is available.
  • Preset pages can be adjusted by turning on/off pictures and moving pictures within the 4 preset pages.
  • Customized pages are unlimited and easy to create and allow for conversational phrases, stories and sentence building options.
