The Firefly Attachable Electric Handcycle is designed for use by individuals with limited strength, coordination and mobility in their lower extremities as a result of a spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis or stroke. It converts the user’s everyday chair into a motorized chair. The "Quick Dock" attachment system easily transforms the user’s chair into a hand cycle and back again by connecting and disconnecting four latches. The patent pending design ensures that the user can get on and off of their chair. The hand cycle uses many off-the-shelf standard bicycle parts, which make it easy to service.
