PROTOTYPE-----Onesie for Battery-less Wireless Pediatric ECG Monitoring is designed to provided constant physiological monitoring via a flexible, battery-less device that snaps inside the garment. This miniaturized device will be powered by body heat whenever it is worn, continuously collect medical grade ECG, monitor for cardiac arrhythmias, and wirelessly communicate with a smart phone. This product will facilitate unobtrusive, continuous monitoring of infants for diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions as well as longitudinal wellness monitoring of healthy children.

Continuous monitoring of vital physiological information, untethered by wires/cables to bedside monitoring equipment, can dramatically improve the ability of clinicians and caregivers to assess the wellness of children, and to persistently monitor (both in and out of the hospital) pediatric patients for critical but hard-to-detect signals or negative events such as arrhythmias or seizures.

Technical Specifications:

Atlantic Pediatric Device Consortium (APDC ) funds will be used to design the wearable ECG onesie monitor and to create a complete set of specifications and bill of materials for this device.
