TV Ears Digital is an amplification system for television designed for use by people who are hard of hearing. This device uses wireless technology to raise hard-to-hear words above a program’s background noise so they can be heard and understood. It consists of a base digital transmitter that is placed on or near the television and a wireless digital headset. The base unit can connect to the television via an optical or analog cord, both of which are included. With its 95,000 Hz per second infrared technology, the TV Ears Digital provides clear television audio at the speed of light with minimal lag and interference. The headset is equipped with an on/off, volume, tone and balance dial, self-molding foam ear tips, rechargeable battery, and headset expansion jacks. When not in use, the headset is placed in a recharging slot on the top of the base unit. An owner’s manual is also included. OPTIONS: A telephone cord, music cord, voice cord and a TV cord are included with the optional Amplification Kit for use with computers, telephones and MP3 players. POWER: AC adapter (included) for the base transmitter; headset has rechargeable battery (included). DIMENSIONS: The analog and optical audio cord is six feet long.
