Once Upon a Sign Signed Storybooks are sign language training DVDs designed for use with children with hearing disabilities. These DVDs (each sold separately) focus on babies and their parents learning sign together. Each DVD includes live-action unvoiced signing embedded inside the image of each page of a classic children's book, vocabulary enhancement, and signing tips. The goal is to help youngsters easily make the print-to-ASL sign connection and stimulate an early love of literature while building vocabulary. Each book is ASL signed and includes a separate vocabulary enhancement section to reinforce use of sign by both children and adults. Each set includes a DVD and a print copy of the book. Currently available titles include "Good Night Moon" (with a large or small board book or hardcover or paperback book), "Grandfather Twilight" (with hardcover or paperback book), "Pat the Bunny" (with book with cardboard pages), "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do You See" (with hardcover or small board book), "Kissing Hand" (with hardcover book), and "I went Walking" (with large board book).
