The Advanced Auditory Communicator, model 4398, is a direct selection communicator designed for use by individuals with communication or speech disabilities. This six-level communicator with auditory cueing has space for seven picture icons (not included), and plays up to 42 messages. When the user pushes one of the icons, the selected message is played at a low volume; when the icon is pushed again, the message is played at an amplified volume. This communication aid has up to three hundred seconds of recording time, and stores up to forty-eight six second messages, including the level announcements. Different picture icons can be inserted to enhance expressive and receptive language. The bottom right switch is the level announcing messages. POWER: Uses 4 double-A batteries.
