The QualCare Grip Splint is a hand orthosis designed for use by individuals with upper extremity disabilities. This splint positions the wrist in the neutral position with the fingers in a relaxed position midway between flexion and extension. Available for the right or left hand, this splint features an adjustable Kydex shell, two Ethafoam cylinders, hand covers, and Velcro straps. To apply, select the foam cylinder appropriate for the individual, slide the cylinder on the hand post and apply the larger of the included hand covers. When finger contractures are too severe to allow use of a cylinder, apply the smaller hand cover directly to the hand post and place the hand directly on the padded surface. Finally, apply the wrist cover, position the hand and wrist, and secure the Velcro straps. OPTIONS: Replacement soft goods sets for the right or left hand. SIZES: One size fits most. DIMENSIONS: The foam cylinders are 1 3/8 and 1.75 inches in diameter.
