Placer County Speakers Bureau information provided by: Placer County Adult System of Care

The Placer County Speakers Bureau presents inspirational stories of recovery from mental illness to diverse audiences in Placer County. Our presenters are people who have lived those stories and are leading successful, independent lives in the community. We offer free presentations that last between 7 minutes to an hour with an opportunity for questions and answers after each speaker. We tailor these stories to be impactful and meaningful to our audiences by speaking to their specific interests and concerns. Scheduling is flexible, and we are able to accommodate presentations in the evenings and weekends with advance notice of at least three weeks. To schedule a presentation please contact Katherine Ferry at (916) 787-8915 or kferry@placer.ca.gov

We are always looking for new Speakers who are willing to share their stories of recovery, resiliency and/or wellness. We welcome speakers who have experienced these challenges themselves, and/or have supported family/loved ones. Training, mentoring and stipends are available. Contact Katherine Ferry at (916) 787-8915 or kferry@placer.ca.gov.
