American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Survivor Outreach Program information provided by: Placer County Adult System of Care

This outreach program trains local volunteers to visit newly bereaved suicide loss survivors and their families upon request, listen with compassion and understanding, and provide information about support groups, healing conferences, and other local resources. Volunteers offer reassurance and hope that surviving a suicide loss is possible. Visits are conducted in person (limited availability), by phone, or via video call.
