I am searching for appropriate group housing for our son. He is currently in an in-patient treatment and is to be discharged tomorrow. If I am able to find housing for him by 12 noon, the facility will handle transporting him. Our son is ambulatory and has been diagnosed with mental retardation and intermittent explosive disorder. He is taking medication to treat his mental illness and behavior and is needing to live in a group home that would provide him meals and assistance with taking his medications. Needed structure and activity would be a great plus. Any suggestions on the best way to search and select a place? Do you know of any resource that would provide ratings on the many group homes in the San Diego area? We are in the Vista area, but are looking throughout San Diego County. Thank you for taking the time to read our email.
